MARTIAL ARTS DEMO

Originally conceived as a litmus test for camerawork and film stock, this 3.5 minute visual experiment was the predecessor to the eventual completed short film ONCE UPON A TIME IN JERSEY (1995).

In it’s original state, the film was processed and screened brimming with irregularities and color imperfection (read: green film).

However, through the magic of editing, color correction and anamorphic-enhancement--this little gem can be now viewed as a solid example of our lensing style and editing structure when applied to the martial arts world.

What was once a dingy, full-frame, unedited scrap of celluloid has been reborn (chrysalis-like) into a pretty nifty little demonstration of on-screen martial talent and off-screen visual panache.

Using music created for the 1985 classic crime yarn To Live & Die In L.A. (by pop group Wang Chung), this demo should give any potential clients or producers a thumbnail sketch of our onscreen capabilities in martial arts training videos or fight choreography in motion pictures.
